THE SMOKE TRAIL

* Warning - This full trail is not for the amateurs 

Start your day fishing for a Mullet at Shout Brewing Islington before heading over to Smoking Hot & Saucy where you will find the Hunter River Brewery Trail's very own Taphaus & get your fill of the best damn Texas BBQ in town. Now you've set the base head a few doors down to Method Brewing to continue the ale journey & wash down that brisket. The last leg of the day takes you around the corner & up Beaumont St. Hamilton to Goodfolk Brewing where you can use that free beer voucher you scored at the Taphaus!

THE SURF TO CITY

After spending your morning getting some salt water therapy at Merewether Beach throw the towel over the shoulder and head to Modus Brewing to get your trail started. Now, the next leg is a healthy walk to the iconic Foghorn Brewing in the city, those sporting double pluggers might want grab an uber. To finish the day its a short distance to the Rogue Scholar where you can chill at the rooftop bar and catch some live music.

A KNIGHTS TRAIL

Located around McDonalds Jones stadium are  two of the newest breweries to join the trail, Grainfed Brewing & Thirsty Messiah.  They are both perfectly located for pre & post game or concert ales. And if the stadium is empty its as short stroll between the two to make a day of it.

ALE VALLEY

For a more picturesque way of getting on the trail head to Pokolbin. For many years it's been known as an Australian mecca for wine, but in recent years the breweries have started moving in giving a nice balance and variety to your visit to Pokolbin. Kick your day off at Ironbark Hill Brewing and pair one of their beers with a woodfire pizza by the vineyards. For the next stops, you'll need a designated driver or sign up at one of the local tour companies and call into Sydney Brewery @ Lovedale & Foghorn Hunter @ Nulkaba to complete your day.

MALT LAKE CITY

Located in Morisset's industrial area you'll find Malt Lake City. Begin the journey at the smallest brewery on the trail with Bread & Brewery where you'll sample some of the most unique beers around. A 200m stumble will get you to Lake Mac Brewing which was the 1st brewery in the area and following on from there a 15 min walk to finish your day at The Yard Brewery & Smokehouse.
